Joining the race

In November 2008, the Malaysian F1 team, My Qi-Meritus.Mahara which has a winning culture of Success in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, arrived to Dubai to participate in the second round of the Grand Racing Weekend at the Dubai Autodrome during the period from 5 - 6 of December 2008.

The team had recorded a strong eight point finish in the first round of the GP2 Asia series at Shanghai, and was looking for a big announcement for their participation in the Dubai Grand Racing.

Index Media picked a venue that matches with the cause and hosted the press conference at the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE).

The journalists, reporters, and the My Qi- Team were thrilled with surprise when they found out that H. Excellency Mohammed Bin Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and Vice President of the FIA – the world’s governing body for motor sports hosted the press conference and wished the two players all the success.

The attendance of the press was outstanding, with more than 50 local and regional sports newspaper, magazine and TV channels on board. The team managed to get the exposure they were looking for and even more.

Both rookie drivers the Malaysian Alex Yoong and Earl Bamber from New Zealand were extremely happy with the surprise and geared up for the race.

    “Chimes” is a far eastern restaurant in Dubai that offers mouthwatering dishes from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Following high standards in quality of food and service they had attracted customers who would visit the restaurant regularly but they were unable to attract new ones. More over the restaurant needed a new look for its Delivery menu, Dine in menu, food delivery boxes and advertisements.
